Pop songstress Ke$ha has urged her fans to "indulge [their] fantasies".

The 26-year-old singer's music famously revolves around the themes of partying and drinking, and she is well known for her outlandish behaviour and eccentric fashion sense.

Ke$ha has a loyal fan base in Japan, and thinks people should take a leaf out of her book when it comes to letting go and having fun.

In an interview with Q magazine, the star said: "Don't think, don't analyse. That's the problem with so much culture out there. People are so trapped into trying to do the right thing. As long as you are not hurting anyone I think you should feel free to indulge your fantasies.

She added: "I have had girls crying when they come up to me in Japan because they just didn't know how to have fun."

Songstress Ke$ha also revealed why she thinks her music appeals to fans who don't speak English.

She explained: "I am incredibly liberated, and I think that's why the Japanese fans love it. Push it out. Break the rules. People understand that in any language."
