Kings Of Leon brothers 'tried to stab each other'

Rockers Kings Of Leon are often in the press, most recently for their public spat with 'Glee' creator Ryan Murphy, but the director of their forthcoming documentary has really dished the dirt on members and brothers Caleb and Nathan Followill.

Stephen Mitchell, the creative mastermind behind the 'Talihina Sky: The Story Of Kings Of Leon' which is due to premiere at 2011's Tribeca Film Festival, has followed the band for the past ten years and spilled all to webzine spinner.com about the testing relationships the band has.

When talking about a particular incident captured on camera where someone can be heard shouting, "we had made you, you little piece of shit", Mitchell revealed:

"That's Nathan. That's his oldest brother and those two have notoriously gone at each other over the years. They've had knockout -- I mean broken shoulders, pulled hair, trying to stab each other. Those two are like twins almost. They're so close but they're too close, if that makes sense."

He also admitted the band collectively has an incredibly high level of expectation, where everything is concerned, and explained:

"What drives through this band is very intense and you top that with their desire to do stuff that's groundbreaking at a quality level where the bar's really high. You don't get to do sub-par work. You have to do out-of-your-mind better than you ever thought you could do [to] work for them."
