Kings of Leon get festive: 'Red wine and Christmas songs always cheer us up'

'Sex on Fire' rockers Kings of Leon have revealed that nothing puts them in good spirits like indulging in festive activities.

Member Jared Followill told Britain's Daily Star newspaper that if he's feeling a little down, he has the perfect remedy and it involves Christmas music and alcohol: "When I'm bummed out I put on Christmas songs and have a glass of red wine."

He then added that he looks forward to the holiday season each year as it's a relaxing time that he gets to spend with his loved ones: "My wife cooks our Christmas dinner and even washes up."

The band, meanwhile, recently confirmed that on June 22 they will headline England's Milton Keynes Bowl venue and tickets for the exciting one-off show went on sale this morning (December 13) at 9am, priced at £55. On June 17, Kings of Leon will also perform at the Sheffield Motorpoint Arena and then a day later they're set to play a show at the Manchester Phones 4U Arena.
