Kylie Minogue has signed up to mentor sister Dannii's acts on the Australian X Factor.

The duo have previously worked together on the UK edition of the TV talent show, but their appearances on Aussie television have been sparse.

Speaking about her role, Kylie said that she had no hesitations in saying yes to the job when her sister brought it up. She said:

"Dannii is so good at this, I'm just along for the ride. It's really fun to do something together, so it was a done deal when she asked me."

Kylie continued: "This kind of show is one of Dannii's natural habitats, but I do feel at home on a TV set and being with my sister...We're both comfortable in this environment."

Dannii meanwhile added: "This is a change. Kylie is a huge X Factor fan."
