Labrinth would sign Lewis Hamilton to record label

Labrinth has revealed that he would be happy to sign Lewis Hamilton to his label.

The music man founded Syco imprint Odd Child Recordings in 2011 and he told the Metro that Formula One driver Hamilton - who has expressed an interest in recording music - could be a good addition to the roster.

He said: "Who wouldn’t want to sign Lewis Hamilton? Even if he can’t sing! Of course I would sign him.

"He hasn’t played any of the music yet, but I will force him. Maybe he is like 'Lab, I feel a little nervous'. But Lewis isn’t a nervous guy. He’s like 'I make music! It sounds sick!' and I’m like 'Cool. I wanna hear it'."

Labrinth added that Hamilton, who won the Formula One World Championship in 2008, could benefit from moving his racing focus to music.

He said: "He can drive like a motherf*****. If he pays as much attention to his song-writing as much as he drives then he is going to be an amazing artist."
