Labrinth wants to work with Coldplay or Arctic Monkeys as producer

Labrinth has revealed his desire to produce an album for Coldplay or Arctic Monkeys.

The musician and singer told reporters at the BBC Music Awards on Thursday (December 11) that he wants to try working in the rock genre.

The 'Jealous' star said: "A lot of people after the first two records 'Let It Be' and 'Jealous' were like, 'Lab, you've taken a turn'. For me I just respect when artists try and develop and you hear something new.

"This album I'd say will be like me evolving and trying to spread my wings, because I want to do everything. I want to produce my first rock album after this album, so I want to produce Arctic Monkeys or Coldplay."

He added: "I can go over there, I'm one of those artists and I really want to spread my wings, so it feels so hard to just be like, 'OK, all you do is pop', and it's like, 'No! I can go right over there, you know?'."

The Brit's next album 'Take Me To The Truth' is due to be released in early 2015.
