Lady Gaga was 'roasted' on a spit at her SXSW concert last night (March 13).

The singer performed on the Stubb's stage at the Austin, Texas festival as part of a Doritos gig which fans were asked to do something 'bold' in order to get tickets for.

She raised eyebrows, however, by coming out in stage on spit in an apparent homage to Texas's love of barbecuing.

The singer ran through tracks such as 'Aura', 'Manicure' and 'Swine', telling the crowd:

"Do me a favour and don't take a picture. Put your f*cking phones down. F*ck your cell phones and your f*ck your friends instead."

Gaga also brought a female friend on stage before riding a mechanical bull in a sexual manner with her.

The singer meanwhile is due to give SXSW's keynote speech today (March 14).
