Lady Gaga has opened up on her strong friendship with Tony Bennett.

The US star and the veteran crooner are releasing the jazz duets album 'Cheek to Cheek' on September 23.

With Bennett aged 88, there is a sixty year gap between the two stars - but it seems that hasn't hampered their bond.

Speaking on Instagram alongside a photo of the pair taking a photograph of themselves, Gaga wrote:

"I never thought I would have a friend like this. We talk about everything, We sing, we laugh, we cry. And here were taking a selfie."

It has just been announced meanwhile that Gaga and Bennett will front H&M's winter campaign.

More information about the fashion retailer collaboration is due emerge in the coming weeks.
