Lady Gaga on recent Israel concert: "Tel Aviv was magnificent"

Lady Gaga has spoken out about her recent experience of performing live in Israel.

The New York singer took her ARTPOP Ball tour to Tel Aviv for a single show on September 13.

Gaga’s decision to go ahead with her scheduled show came at a time when a number of other artists were cancelling appearances in Israel due to unrest in the Gaza strip. Acts such as Lana Del Rey, Cee Lo Green and the Backstreet Boys all pulled out of planned gigs.

The ‘Applause’ singer has now revealed her thoughts on her time in Israel during an interview with The Independent.

She said: “Tel Aviv was magnificent. The world view of Israel is just not reality. It's in a beautiful place, the people are in good spirits.”

Speaking specifically about her performance she recalled: “I had a very emotional show with those fans. It was wonderful.”

Lady Gaga also recently made it known that she consulted the White House before embarking on her trip to Tel Aviv.
