Lady Gaga pays stunning tribute to 'The Sound Of Music' with Oscars performance

Earlier this month, it was confirmed that Lady Gaga would perform live at the 2015 Academy Awards and she delivered tonight (February 22) with an incredible musical tribute to 1959 classic, 'The Sound Of Music'.

During the vocally stunning tribute, Gaga ran through a medley of songs from the iconic movie including the title track, 'Edelweiss', and 'My Favourite Things'. As soon as she finished singing, Gaga was visibly moved and was met with tremendous applause.

An emotional Julie Andrews then appeared on stage and thanked Gaga for such an amazing performance as she presented the prize for the Best Original Score and said: "Dear Lady Gaga, thank you for that wonderful tribute. It really warms my heart."

Other live musical performances have already come from Maroon 5 with 'Lost Stars', songstress Rita Ora with 'Grateful', Tegan and Sara ft. The Lonely Island with 'Everything Is Awesome', and John Legend ft. Common with 'Glory'.
