The non-profit charity Born This Way Foundation, which was created by pop megastar Lady Gaga and her mother Cynthia, has teamed up with toy company Mattel to promote the cause in conjunction with their Monster High line.

Cynthia Germanotta, president of Born This Way Foundation and Lady Gaga's mother, explained that this partnership is very exciting:

"Supporting the empowerment and well-being of our young people will take individuals and organisations of all kinds working together. That's why Born This Way Foundation is excited to partner with Monster High."

She added: "This collaboration is a wonderful and unique opportunity to meet young people where they are, a crucial first step toward building a kinder and braver world."
