Lady Gaga reveals that fame almost made her quit music

'Born This Way' sensation Lady Gaga has revealed that being made to feel like a money-making machine almost made her quit music because it was such a draining experience.

The superstar gave an inspirational speech at the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence and admitted that the way she was being treated made her want to bow out of the industry altogether:

"I really don't like selling these fragrances. I don't like wasting my time just shaking people's hands and smiling and taking selfies. It feels shallow to my existence, I have a lot more to offer than my image."

She went onto add that her creativity was dulled as a result of the way she was being used: "I don't like being used to make people money. It feels sad when I'm overworked and I feel like I'm a money-making machine and my passion and creativity take a back seat."
