Lady Gaga has been announced as the guest editor for an upcoming issue of V Magazine.

The ‘Art Pop’ star features on the cover of the January 2016 edition of the fashion title and she has also had a hand in creating the magazine’s content.

Gaga has enlisted a number of high profile fashion collaborators she has worked with in the past, including Nick Knight, Steven Klein and Inez and Vindooh, as contributors. 

Speaking about the theme behind her edition of V, Gaga said: “This issue of V is about all of these people coming together to express a passion for art and fashion, to really 'go there' to make a great statement and to change things.”

On the people she selected to be part of the magazine, the ‘American Horror Story’ Countess actress explained:

“I feel like we all share an appetite for living a life of passion and creativity… it's like we all found our immortality through art and fashion… we share that deep spiritual place. These are people who have kept and protected me over the years, because they wanted me to survive.”

Lady Gaga’s V99 Spring preview issue will be available in January 2016.
