Lady Gaga's childhood piano fails to meet its reserve at auction

Earlier this spring, it was revealed that Lady Gaga's childhood piano would be put up for auction to benefit the Born This Way Foundation

Los Angeles-based auction company Julien's Auctions were offering the instrument as part of its Music Icons sale, but the piano failed to meet its reserve and it had a pre-sale estimate of $100,000 to $200,000. It is not known whether it will be put back up for auction in the future.

Gaga, meanwhile, has been working on brand new music and one of her collaborators is icon Nile Rodgers. He told The Guardian newspaper this weekend that the only detail he can share about the project is that it sounds "funky":

"I was in California a couple of weeks ago working with Lady Gaga, and the next day I started writing a song with Miguel; it was so good I sang it to Justin Timberlake over the phone and he loved it [...] I can’t tell you about the Lady Gaga music, either, but I can tell you one thing — it’s funky."
