Lady Gaga hopes 'Joanne' album will "heal" listeners

"Perfect Illusion" sensation Lady Gaga has revealed that she hopes people find her new album Joanne to have a healing quality.

During a new interview with the Sunday Times newspaper about her new record, she explained that it was inspired by her father's late sister Joanne, who died from lupus at a young age and influenced Gaga to be as strong as possible:

"I'm not sure I'd go into detail about it, but Joanne gave me strength to live the rest of the life she didn't get to have. I guess, I think, if I can heal one person, maybe I can heal two, five, ten million. If I could just heal my dad, then maybe [I] might heal someone else."

Gaga, meanwhile, will headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show on February 5, 2017 and she recently told Radio Disney that she has big aspirations for the event: “I want every guy’s girlfriend in his arms … I want every husband and wife kissing… every kid laughing. In my mind they’re having this really powerful family experience watching the Super Bowl.”
