Lady Gaga lands fourth US No.1 album with 'Joanne'

Lady Gaga has secured her fourth No.1 album in the US.

Her new record 'Joanne' sold 201,000 equivalent album units in its first week on sale.

This was better than expected, with Billboard previously estimating sales of around 140,000 before upping their forecast by 40,000.

Every album Gaga has released has now hit No.1 in the US - except for her 2008 debut effort 'The Fame', which peaked at No.2.

Her last record to hit the top spot was her Tony Bennett jazz covers album 'Cheek To Cheek' in 2014.

Gaga is now the first woman to achieve four No.1 albums on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the 2010s.
