Lady Gaga to guest judge on season premiere of RuPaul's Drag Race
'Million Reasons' hitmaker Lady Gaga will be a guest judge on the season premiere of RuPaul's Drag Race.
On August 14, 2013, Lady Gaga sent a tweet to the show asking if she could appear on the panel: "Can I PLEASE be a judge on drag race! @RuPaul I started out in these club, these women taught me how to serve!"
Now, her wish has come true as she will appear on the first episode of the brand new season, which is due to premiere soon. The official Twitter account for RuPaul's Drag Race shared the following message about the exciting news: "...and now @ladygaga is taking on the Gay Super Bowl!! Come through #Gaga! #DragRace."
Gaga tweeted: "The time has come! I'm joining the girls on the season premiere of @RuPaulsDragRace! #DontBeADrag #JustBeAQueen 👑."
The superstar, who recently put on a spectacular half-time show at the Super Bowl, took to Instagram this week after hearing that her physique has been "a topic of conversation" with bodyshamers. She wrote:
"I heard my body is a topic of conversation so I wanted to say, I'm proud of my body and you should be proud of yours too. No matter who you are or what you do. I could give you a million reasons why you don't need to cater to anyone or anything to succeed. Be you, and be relentlessly you. That's the stuff of champions. thank you so much everyone for supporting me. I love you guys. Xoxo, gaga."
