Lady Gaga has landed the title of best selling album of 2010 with her album 'The Fame Monster'.

Despite the record being a 2009 release and only consisting of 8 tracks, it soared to the top of the rankings with an incredible 5.8 million copies sold. 

The album boasted 3 singles ('Telephone', 'Bad Romance' and 'Alejandro') and is Gaga's second full-length studio album after her debut 'The Fame'. 

She tweeted last night (December 27):

"THE FAME MONSTER was named the best-selling album of 2010! I'm so excited for the future, believe + work hard, you will achieve your dreams."
