Catholic group brands Gaga "talentless" ahead of 'Judas' release

As we edge closer to the release date of Lady Gaga's new video for Judas, which she explained will "shock the world", some members of the Catholic church are getting agitated at what it might portray.

Bill Donohue, who is the President of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, told hollywoodlife.com that Gaga is "talentless" and her timing of the release of 'Judas' is distasteful with Easter just around the corner:

"I find Gaga to be increasingly irrelevant. She thinks she is going to be groundbreaking. She is trying to ripoff Christian idolatry to shore up her talentless, mundane and boring performances. Another ex-Catholic whose head is turned around. This is a stunt. People have real talent, and then there is Lady Gaga. Is this the only way to jet up her performance? This isn’t random, we are getting closer to Holy Week and Easter.”

The 'Born This Way' singer's creative director, Laurieann Gibson, defended the forthcoming visuals and said that as a Christian herself she feels the video is a "freeing" expression of art and music:

"I think they’ll be very shocked to find out how huge and really groundbreaking the message is and how freeing the message is for all the right reasons,”

'Judas' will be released on April 19 and Lady Gaga will unveil her brand new episode of Gagavision on Tuesday, April 12. Watch the latest clip here:
