Lady Gaga shot into the top of the UK albums chart with 'Born This Way' this afternoon, May 25, during the midweek update. 

The highly-anticipated record was released on Monday, May 23 and online store Amazon has been selling it at an incredibly discounted price to up the sales, which has clearly worked as it's knocked Adele's '21' into the No.2 position.

Creeping up behind it is The Prodigy's 'World's On Fire: Live', which entered today at No.3.

Meanwhile, Gaga's debut album 'The Fame' has crept up 5 places to No.6 while she has three singles in the UK top 40 singles chart. Watch her new commercial for Google Chrome here:
