Lady Gaga has revealed that she has an obsession for cooking shows.

The star, whose album ‘Born This Way’ has debuted at No. 1 this week, says that she loves experimenting with new recipes and even cooks with her childhood friends.

"When I get time off, I like to watch cooking shows, I'm really obsessed with them,” she told Heat magazine. “I'm a really good cook now, just from watching those shows. My speciality is Italian."

She added: "I went to an all-girls' school, so the few of my friends that I've kept since high school, we'll all just get together and cook and drink six or seven bottles of red wine and just talk about life and chill out."

That number of drinks is no understatement, it seems, as Gaga also claims to be on a “drunk diet” because she sees alcohol as an important part of her creative process.

"I am on the drunk diet. I live my life as I want to, creatively. I like to drink whiskey and stuff while I am working,” she says. “But the deal is I've got to work out every day, and I work out hung over if I am hung over. And it's about the cross-training and keeping yourself inspired. I have to say, I do a ton of yoga."
