Lady Gaga supports LGBT communities at Europride

Lady Gaga stopped off in Rome last night, June 11, to show her support for the LGBT community by performing at Europride 2011.

The superstar played her anthem of acceptance, 'Born This Way', then gave the crowd a beautiful rendition of 'The Edge of Glory' and spoke out about the importance of supporting people's choices and preferences.

She proclaimed herself a "child of diversity" and explained that young people who come out as gay are susceptible to "suicide, self-loathing, isolation."

Tweeting to her 10 million strong troupe of Little Monsters after the event, she wrote:

"Just left Roma for Gay Pride. A magical experience. So moved. You're never on the edge alone. We stand together."
