Pop sensation Lady Gaga has shared her 2012 New Year's resolution with her Little Monsters. 

The 'Marry The Night' superstar took to social networking site Twitter yesterday, January 1, and revealed to her 17.5 million followers the statement she plans to live by this year:

"My new years resolution: Never be afraid to be kicked in the teeth. Let the blood and the bruises define your legacy. - Lady Gaga 2012"

She rang in the New Year in her hometown of New York City where she performed a number of her hit singles for the excited crowd of over 1 million and activated the iconic 'ball drop' at midnight. She followed up her New Year's Eve appearance with a tweet that let her fans know what an honour it was to have been included in such a famous event:

"I cant even quite describe what tonight felt like. Sort of poetic madness. A dream come true. Moments recalling a leather taking the subway."
