Lady Gaga confirms new album for 2012 and talks distant future goals

Lady Gaga has given a new interview to The Insider and opens up about the kind of mother she expects Beyoncé to be, her next album and her plans for the not-so immediate future.

When asked if she thinks the 'Halo' hitmaker, who she collaborated with on both 'Telephone and 'Video Phone', will be a great parent, Gaga explained:

"Of course she is. That's a tremendous understatement. She's the nicest female I've met in the industry. She's wonderful!"

Referring to her own family plans, the pop icon joked that children might be on the cards for her at some stage but definitely not for a long time:

"Someday! Long, long day from now! A long time... not soon! My next baby will be my new record."

"I just want to keep going. I'm not as goal obsessed as I am process obsessed so I just want to keep writing music. I'm looking forward to putting out another album and going on tour. I can't wait to see the fans and I have a million ideas, and I just feel - honestly - very blessed to make a living doing what I love."
