Carly Rae Jepsen in Lady Gaga's bad books after breaking US chart record

Lady Gaga has joked about Carly Rae Jepsen's new US chart record.

Jepsen's mega hit 'Call Me Maybe' has now spent seven consecutive weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 - the most weeks in a row for a female artist signed to Interscope Records.

She's beaten Lady Gaga's six week record for 'Born This Way' - although she is far off Black Eyed Peas' overall Interscope record of 14 weeks.

Gaga took to Twitter to tell Jepsen that she is "coming for her" after she broke her 'Born This Way' record.

However, she misspelled Jepsen's name and tweeted a fake account - @carlyraejepson - by accident. She tweeted:

"I SEE you just swooped in and broke my BORN THIS WAY record of the most weeks at #1. DONT GET COMFORTABLE IM COMING FOR YOU."

As previously reported, Lady Gaga has announced that she will be featuring in the Robert Rodriguez film Machete Kills - check out a picture of her character below.
