Lady Gaga has increased speculation over her new album after posting a photo of a new tattoo.

The 'Born This Way' singer tweeted a link to the photo, which is located on her social networking website Little Monsters, with the caption: "New ink new album".

The tattoo, which appears to be on her right arm, contains the word 'Artpop' in black ink.

Gaga added on Little Monsters: "We could, we could belong together. ARTPOP." -lady gaga."

The superstar singer meanwhile was asked on Twitter by a fan about the definition of Artpop, to which she replied:

"My ArtPop could mean anything."

Lady Gaga's follow-up to the 2011 album 'Born This Way' remains untitled, but the singer revealed that it should be released by spring 2013.
