Lady Gaga thanks Ke$ha for clearing up fake animal rights letter

Lady Gaga has taken to Twitter to thank Ke$ha after she confirmed a letter criticising the 'Marry The Night' singer over wearing fur was not from her.

Gaga has been embroiled in a row over wearing fur recently after PETA Vice President Dan Matthews called up the singer after she was photographed apparently wearing a fur coat.

Another letter, purporting to be from PETA supporting Ke$ha, has been circulating the internet, allegedly showing the singer's "disgust" at Gaga.

However, the 'Tik Tok' star said on Twitter yesterday (August 16) that the letter was a fraud, tweeting:

"Animals+ @ladygaga - jus woke up in Japan +heard that there's a letter from "me" floating around.well it's a fake.not from me.love u all xx."

Lady Gaga today (August 17) thanked Ke$ha for clearing up the issue and praised her knowledge of the word "acceptance". The 'Born This Way' singer said:

"@keshasuxx thanks for clearing up that the letter was fake. U are brave+know the meaning of acceptance. Box of animalcrackers coming ur way."
