Lady Gaga has revealed a new tattoo.

The superstar singer uploaded an image of herself in public showing off what looks to be a new marine themed piece of body art.

It looks like the 'Born This Way' singer has had a small anchor inked onto the upper left side of her body.

She tweeted simply:

"New Tat. Stamp of His Mermaid."

As previously reported, Lady Gaga recently penned a small note on her social networking website lamenting the effect that fame has some people.

She didn't take aim at those in the spotlight however, with the singer choosing to criticise people around her that have changed due to her becoming famous.
