Ben Stiller has denied that Lady Gaga is set to appear in Zoolander 2.

Reports emerged earlier this month that the 'Born This Way' star had been offered £3 million to feature in the follow-up to the 2001 hit comedy about a narcissistic male fashion model.

However, the film’s leading man and co-writer has now taken to Twitter to sarcastically quash the rumours, posting:

“Zoolander LadyGaga story is not true. Weird that OK magazine would print something untrue. Weird to read a made up story on the internet.”

The US comedy actor had previously confirmed that the script for the long-awaited sequel was now completed:

"Most of it is set in Europe. I don't want to give away too much, but it's basically Derek and Hansel 10 years later, though the last movie ended on a happy note a lot of things have happened in the meantime.”
