Lady Gaga updates 'SwineFest' dress code with link to famous piece of art

Modern pop icon Lady Gaga has given a new update about the dress code she wants attendees at her upcoming iTunes Festival appearance to follow.

She will take the stage at Camden's Roundhouse venue in London on September 1 and earlier this evening (August 28) she dubbed her impending performance 'SwineFest'.

In addition to renaming the event, Gaga told her Little Monsters that they should wear certain items as part of their outfits including seashells, seahorses, "paint-coloured dreadlocks", and bedazzled pig noses. A new 'rehearsal' photo for her iTunes Festival set shows her posing with a dancer wearing a steampunk inspired pig's head.

Following her initial style advice, the 'Applause' hitmaker returned to the social networking site and added: "#SomeOfUsJustLikeToRead Botticelli Punk, Seashell Girl ArtFunk!" She also shared a link to Botticelli's world renowned 'The Birth of Venus' painting (pictured below).

Gaga also hinted that there will be more than just the one 'SwineFest': "Way to go monsters! Applause is climbing thanks to capital Y-O-U! Im having such a good time planning #Swinefest, + it's just the 1st one! x"
