Lady Gaga's new album 'ARTPOP' has already gone platinum in Canada.

The singer revealed the news on Twitter, where she posted an image of herself collecting a commemorative plaque.

The record was released last Monday (November 11) and it hit No.1 in the UK on Sunday (November 17).

Tweeting about her platinum news, Gaga said:

"My 1st platinum plaque for ARTPOP! Thank u Canada! The Fame went platinum here 1st+now ARTPOP! What a wonderful night."

It is reported that to achieve the platinum status in Canada, 'ARTPOP' shifted 80,000 copies.

It is said that Gaga took three days to hit the milestone in the country.

The singer meanwhile confirmed on Twitter recently that she intends to tour 'ARTPOP' in 2014.
