Lady Gaga for Versace campaign images revealed

The first images of Lady Gaga posing for Versace have been revealed.

The ‘ARTPOP’ star is the face of the Italian fashion house’s Spring Summer 2014 campaign.

In one shot Lady Gaga can be seen posing in a lilac dress whilst in another she clasps a black handbag (see images below). In both pictures the New Yorker sports flowing blonde hair in an echo of designer Dontella Versace’s signature look.

The fashion shots were taken by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot.

Speaking about the linkup between Versace and Lady Gaga, Dontella Versace told The Independent:

“'I am honoured that my friend Lady Gaga is the face of our new Versace campaign. I wanted to capture her true beauty and spirit in images that are elegant and alluring. She is like family to me, the embodiment of the Versace DNA.”

Versace recently created custom-made costumes for Lady Gaga’s appearance on Saturday Night Live, as well as previously designing outfits for her 'Born This Way Ball' world tour and allowed the ‘Dope’ singer to raid their archives to pick out clothes for her ‘The Edge Of Glory’ video.

Lady Gaga has also recorded a song called ‘Donatella’ about the blonde Italian fashion icon for her latest album ‘ARTPOP’.
