Lady Gaga's 'X Factor' performance complaints won't be investigated

The complaints that followed Lady Gaga's provocative 'X Factor' performance won't be investigated by Ofcom, it has been confirmed.

The 'Venus' superstar performed on the show in little more than flesh-coloured underwear and a bra made out of seashells, and this appearance provoked 317 official complaints. The main problem people had was that her set was too risqué to air before the 9pm watershed.

Besides Ofcom, ITV also received a further 60 complaints. Earlier today (December 16), Ofcom explained that an investigation won't be launched to see if Gaga's appearance breached any rules. A spokesperson from ITV has also added:

"We do not believe Lady Gaga's performance was inappropriate for the family audience of the X Factor results show, which has an established tradition of featuring performances from the biggest music stars."

Meanwhile, her forthcoming new music video for 'Do What U Want' is due to premiere soon and she told her Twitter followers that she is working on it: "DWUW video is ALMOST READY Shot by Terry [Richardson] <3."
