Lana Del Rey axes Japanese concert due to "exhaustion"

Sultry songstress Lana Del Rey has pulled out of a scheduled performance in Japan due to "exhaustion".

The 'Blue Jeans' hitmaker had a concert lined up for Monday night (May 28) in Tokyo, but cancelled at the last minute because she is unwell and an official statement was issued by one of her representatives:

"It is with great regret Lana will not be performing in Tokyo today, she is suffering from exhaustion and the show had to be cancelled. Lana says, 'I am really sorry to not have made it over to Japan again, I would love to be there to sing and look forward to performing a show that the fans deserve'."

She took to social networking site Twitter last night and added: "Wish I could be with everyone in Tokyo but I'm really sorry I am sick. Thinking of you and I will come back soon."

Del Rey also tweeted several links to photographs of herself that were taken for Japanese Vogue (pictured above left), which she shared publicly with her 600,000 followers.
