Lana Del Rey reveals Tropico film release date

Lana Del Rey has revealed the release date of her Tropico short film to fans in Chile.

The film is the final chapter on her debut album and has a tenatative release date of December 1.

When quizzed by Chilean fans on its release date, Del Rey answered: "Soon. December the first, I think…"

The movie, which is billed as being 'by Anthony Mandler', is due to premiere "soon" although the beauty is yet to confirm a definite date. She previously described its content as "Elvis and Jesus and Marilyn and extraterrestrials all in one".

Back in October, she opened up about the next step in her music career and confessed that she honestly can't hear a second album, telling Nylon magazine: "When people ask me about it, I just have to be honest - I really don't know... I don't want to say, 'Yeah, definitely - the next one's better than this one,' because I don't really hear a next one. My muse is very fickle. She only comes to me sometimes, which is annoying."

On August 17, she worried her followers by referring to the mini-movie as a 'farewell project' in a tweet that read: "Looking forward to seeing you for the farewell project. I adore you and thank you for inspiring me. TROPICO."

'Ride' songstress Lana Del Rey treated her fans to a brief teaser clip from her upcoming short film, 'Tropico' on November 7 (see below)
