Heartbeat was inspired by the feeling of synchronicity of a crowd with the beat of the music during live concerts, when everyone's heart seems to beat to the rhythm of the kick drum, and also takes inspiration from the sense of synchronicity between the pounding hearts of two lovers. I wanted to be the one setting an energetic and positive beat to which an audience may synch to. The kick drum at the start of Heartbeat is actually mixed together with a human heartbeat sample.”

ALBA’s music has been best described as a blend between old-school Rock-Blues and her passion for today's Soul/R&B and Pop music. With inspiration ranging from Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin and Stevie Wonder to Alicia Keys, Joss Stone and John Mayer.

She’s already made a name for herself in Spain, where she’s known as the ‘girl who can play guitar over her head’, a title she earned due to her energetic and captivating performances with her band Sons Of Rock where she would do this signature move as homage to Jimi Hendrix.

Her virtuoso guitar skills and classy stage presence led Sons Of Rock to win dozens of ‘Best Live performance’ and ‘Best Band’ awards, play for thousands at festivals like Rock in Rio or Sonisphere, open for big international and Spanish acts such as The Waterboys or Celtas Cortos, and gain sponsorships from brands like Harley Davidson and Red Bull.

ALBA refined her songwriting throughout her time in Sons of Rock, and under the careful guidance of Grammy-winnerproducer Nigel Walker (Paul McCartney, Mark Knopfler), recorded 24 original tracks, spanning across 4 studio albums. One of her songs, ‘My Name Is Lucille’, (a dedication to B.B. King), was included in the Canadian feature film ‘Moving Day’.

ALBA has now set root in London and is making her way onto the UK music scene d with the support of some outstanding musicians. She already performed at iconic venues and festivals such as; Ronnie Scott's, Edinburgh’s Fringe and Brighton’s Alternative Escape.

She now sets her eyes on releasing her second UK single ‘Heartbeat’ which drops 10th of May 2019. It was recorded at ‘Ralph Salmins’ studios mastered by John Webber (Nina Simone, David Bowie) at Air Studios London. ‘Heartbeat’ kicks off with a cascade of arpeggiated guitar before steady staccato keys bring you back around before the Chorus throws you off with a blast of funk full of percussion to drive your feet..
