Writing and singing for as long as she can remember, rising country star Allie Marie Hunter is a thought-provoking, intricate artist who strikes a chord with her music in which she showcases some of the best, hearty folk music that includes poetic storytelling.

Growing up in a creative family, Allie has been surrounded by singers, songwriters, musicians and dancers for her whole life and has been deeply grounded within the classics of country music from a young age.

No stranger to the stage, Allie performed in many leading-lady roles in musical theatre groups from the tender age of 6, before going on to gig across the UK from the age of 15. She then attended drama school, wrote a science-fiction novel, scripted a collection of short films and plays - one of which she toured across London in 2018, before embarking on her exciting journey with FH Block at the renowned Ealing Studios, to create her debut EP "Gone Baby Gone".

Her brand new single ‘Hair Of The Dog’ which is set to be released on all digital streaming platforms on August 7th is an extremely raw offering from the country artist. It’s emotional and sensitive which shows a different side to Allie. Writing it early hours of the morning two years ago, she was able to articulate her feelings at that very moment.

Speaking on the track, Allie Marie Hunter said: “We all know the old-fashioned saying, have a hair of the dog. Usually, of course, it’s to cure a hangover. So, I wanted to capture that feeling, of having one more taste of the thing that hurt you in the first place… but in the context of a relationship. It was a story I wanted to tell well. So, the production and the video all had to correlate to that feeling of knowing something isn’t right for you, but not being strong enough to resist it. I’m so lucky that my team can do what they do. I’m so excited for you guys to see it!”
