Lea Michele keen to shake off 'Glee' image with debut album

Singer and actress Lea Michele has admitted that her forthcoming debut album won't be what fans of her character in 'Glee' might be expecting.

During an interview with U.S. chat show host Jay Leno, she explained that there won't be any cover songs despite having to constantly perform renditions of popular hits as Rachel Berry on the well-loved musical drama series:

"It's funny because I get asked a lot if I'm doing covers. If you think that there are actually covers that we haven't done on 'Glee' that I could then put on an album... We've done everything! Pretty soon we're just going to have to start doing opera and stuff on the show."

"No, it's all original pop music [on my album] and I'm really, really excited about it."

She also opened up about her love of cooking, but confessed that after cooking something for boyfriend Cory Monteith recently she was left wondering if her skills were as good as she originally thought:

"I cooked something for my boyfriend [Cory Monteith] the other day, and I don't think he really liked it. I made him a little breakfast, like my version of an Italian croque-madame or something, but I think the eggs were raw and not cooked! It wasn't very good, but he was a very good sport."
