Leona Lewis to give fans a musical gift for Christmas

Vocal sensation Leona Lewis wants to give her fans a special Christmas present to compensate for the delays facing her forthcoming studio album, 'Glassheart'

The 'Better In Time' superstar told the Daily Star that to make up for the lack of new music she is aiming to release an exclusive EP "before the end of the year" and has even collaborated with Scottish DJ Calvin Harris:

"I’ve worked with Calvin on a song and want to do another – he’s so talented. I’m planning an EP before the end of the year as I feel bad for everyone who was expecting the album this year. But the lead song won’t be the track I’ve done with Emeli Sandé – that’s for the album.”

Lewis has been working non-stop throughout 2011 on both her music and philanthropic projects, and won't be taking much of a break over the holidays. She added: “I’m going back to Wales, where my mum is from for Christmas, then it’s back to finishing the album.”

Although no date has been confirmed for the EP, you can watch her recent performance of 'Unwritten', with Natasha Bedingfield, at the Global Angels concert below:
