27-year-old Leona Lewis has spoken out about the date she went on with One Direction's Liam Payne and revealed that despite press reports it wasn't a "PR stunt" to promote her forthcoming new album.

Speaking about the drink she went out for with newly-single Payne recently, the 'Bleeding Love' beauty explained that she has no intentions of being seen with people who might raise her profile or help boost record sales and is always genuine when she spends time with friends or guys she is interested in:

"I don't do PR stunts. It's not my style. I don't need to do that. I haven't denied it or said it's not true. I just haven't commented. I don't talk about my personal life. I think I've learnt from my previous relationships to basically keep my mouth shut."

The singer posted a few updates to her official Twitter page earlier today (October 9) and told her followers that she was at a video shoot, and also shared photographs from the dressing room (shown below).
