Leona Lewis is biggest selling 'X Factor' star in the UK

'Bleeding Love' songstress Leona Lewis has been named the biggest selling act to come from the UK's 'X Factor' show according to new figures released by Music Week.

She came out on top in both the singles and albums sales charts, racking up over 8 million sales in total. Surprisingly, boyband One Direction came in fourth place in both columns with combined sales of only 5.8 million.

Lewis has enjoyed an incredibly successful career since winning the competition back in 2006 and earlier this month she took to her official Twitter page to write a strange but humourous mini-autobiography, which reads: "Leona Lewis be a British thug n' beatmaker n' s**t. Biatch first came ta prominence afta ballin tha third seriez of Da X Factor up in 2006."
