Liam Gallagher: "Beady Eye are no longer"

Liam Gallagher has announced the end of his post-Oasis outfit, Beady Eye.

The 'Live Forever' singer declared the split with a single tweet last night (October 25) saying:

"Beady are no longer. Thanks for all your support. LGx"

Following on from the Beady Eye frontman's tweet - which has now been favourited 6.9k times and re-tweeted by 15k users - guitarist Andy Bell then posted his own message online confirming the news.

Bell wrote: "Thanks to all the Beady Eye fans. I had a blast. See you on the other side. Big Love Andy B X".

Beady Eye - made up by Liam Gallagher and fellow former Oasis musicians Andy Bell, Gem Archer and Chris Sharrock - formed in 2009 after a final bust up between Liam and his brother Noel Gallagher which brought Oasis to an end.

During their five years together Beady Eye released two albums - 'Different Gear, Still Speeding' in 2011 and 'BE' in 2013 - both of which reached the top five in the UK charts. They also performed the Oasis hit 'Wonderwall' at the closing ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics.

Whilst fans have already begun to speculate whether the end of Beady Eye has now cleared the way for an Oasis reunion, Noel Gallagher has been busy recently returning to his solo career with his latest single, 'In The Heat Of The Moment' out in November and a new album due in March 2015.
