Lily Allen expects people to get angry about new album

Lily Allen believes some people will find things to get angry about on her upcoming new record.

The singer is busy working on the follow-up to her 2009 album 'It's Not Me, It's You' but she told NME that there will always be snipers ready to take shots at her effort.

Referring to popularity and commercial success, Allen said: "When you put something out there, people want to write about it. They want the hits, they want American Apparel to advertise on their blog. So, yeah, I'm sure people will find things to get angry about on the record."

Speaking meanwhile about the overall sound of the album, the Brit added: "The last couple [of albums] looked to the past for their influences, whether it was ska or reggae or whatever, but this one doesn't do that at all. There's one that has a quite country-ish, Primal Scream-y vibe to it - but that's about the extent of it."

Allen's latest single 'Air Balloon' meanwhile is due to be released in the UK on March 2.
