Lily Allen is "immensely proud" of 'Sheezus'

Lily Allen has defended her album 'Sheezus' by saying that she is "immensely proud" of the record.

The singer released the studio effort on Monday (May 5) and it looks set to hit No.1 in the UK this weekend.

However, she came under fire recently for appearing unsure about what she is trying to say on the album.

Allen replied on Twitter:  "This whole record is about being confused, I have no idea what I'm trying to say either, but why should I? It's just music, not politics."

The Brit later followed this up with a defence of her album, saying:

"I think SHEEZUS is fabulous, I am immensely proud of it and nothing makes me happier than to hear how fabulous you think it is too. And to those who don't get it, don't get your knickers in a twist about it, there's plenty of other stuff about."

Allen was tweeting from her hospital bed after falling ill and suffering bouts of projectile vomiting.
