Lily Allen: 'One ELLE of a judge'

Lily Allen, her sister Sarah Owen (co-owner of her vintage shop 'Lucy In Disguise') and Elle magazine editor-in-chief, Lorraine Candy, are set to judge the final of the magazine's 'Shop Girl to Stylist' competition.

The contest, which has been running since March, aims to seek out talented shop assistants to see if they have what it takes to be an international stylist.

Candy said: "We asked Lily to get involved with Shop Girl after shooting her for our August cover earlier this year. She's a true fashion lover who always brings her individuality to an outfit, and once we got talking to her about the store she was opening with her sister, Sarah Owen, we realised she was the perfect person to judge our search for new styling talent."

The ten chosen finalists will be set a styling challenge by the judges, and the winner will be given the opportunity to work at both Elle magazine and Allen and Owen’s boutique.

Among the finalists are Ellie Dowse - a Topshop sales assistant from Manchester - and Elizabeth Black, who works at Beyond Retro in London.
