The wait is nearly over for Lily Allen's new album "No Shame"

Tomorrow (June 8), is the day that one of the UK's most celebrated and talented singer-songwriters, Lily Allen, releases her long-awaited album, "No Shame".

It's the Grammy-nominated star's fourth studio album and excitment from her fans worldwide has been esculating all over social media. Recently, she's been posting one-minute snippets from each track, accompanied by a visual onto her instagram, beginning with “Cake", then each track in reverse order chronologically to emulate a countdown.

After being leaked, the lead single, "Trigger Bang", was released last year on December 12. "Higher" and "Three" then followed this year in March. All were received with critical acclaim on both national and international radio play. She also unveiled her new music video for "Lost My Mind" today (June 7). Watch below.

Unsurprisingly, the breakdown of Allen's marriage and her subsequent divorce to Sam Cooper factor largely on the album, with songs on the tracklist such as "Family Man", "Higher", "Apples" and "Three" reflecting on the darker emotional turmoil of the break-up, as well as the guilt and struggles of trying to balance motherhood with the often overwhelming demands of her career.

About the album, the singer said: "I wanted to write a record for me that felt truthful and honest, but also, I don’t wanna disappoint any people that supported me through the years. I’m self-aware enough to know that what people like about my writing is the directness and the honesty, but I think the difference between this album and previous records is that that honesty has usually been observations of other people and looking outwards."
