Lily Allen "racist tweet" row resolved after flowers and handwritten apology

A Twitter row involving an alleged racist tweet delivered to Lily Allen has been resolved after the instigator sent the singer an apology and some flowers.

As previously reported, Lily Allen reported a Twitter user over a reported offensive tweet that she received.

Earlier today (July 12) Allen decided to take a break from the social networking website after receiving a barrage of messages from angered users claiming that Harry Wilson, the tweeter in question, was not a racist.

However, she later confirmed that Wilson had sent her a hand written apology and that for her the matter is now closed. She said:

"I have just received some flowers and a hand written apology from Harry Wilson, which I accept. I hope we can all now move on. Thank you."
