'Smile' beauty Lily Cooper has made an exciting announcement regarding her upcoming return to music.

The star took to her official Twitter page today and confirmed that for the project she is going back to her old last name: "Hello, im Lily Allen and I'm coming back, bitches."

She has also now changed her social networking handle back to '@LilyAllen' and launched a new website that allows fans to sign up to a newsletter that promises updates as and when they are ready to be shared.

Earlier this summer, the songstress explained that she hopes her new material will be ready for the public by next spring: "I'm really enjoying writing it and hope it will be ready for March. It is very different to what I've done before."

Allen made her live return back in February at a Paris fashion show where she performed during a runway event.
