Lily Allen confirms 'Hard Out Here' release date

Lily Allen has confirmed the release date of her new single.

The singer spent much of yesterday afternoon (November 12) teasing pictures from a new video before unleashing 'Hard Out Here' on YouTube.

Digital Spy have reported that the song will get a quick release and will be available to buy from Sunday (November 17).

The song parodies sexualisation in today's music industry and sees the singer quip about liposuction, music videos and having a "baggy pussy".

It was greeted extremely well online and it is expected to chart highly when released.

The track will follow up Allen's John Lewis Christmas advert song, which is currently No.1 in the UK iTunes list.

The tune is a cover of Keane's 'Somewhere We Only Know' and it soundtracks the retailer's animal themed festive commercial.

Allen meanwhile has been busy working on her first album since 2009's 'It's Not Me, It's You', with 'Hard Out Here' expected to feature on the comeback record.
