'Hard Out Here' songstress Lily Allen flew over to Los Angeles last night and revealed that UK based boyband One Direction were on the same flight as her. 

Writing on Twitter, she explained that she was delighted to find them on board and joked about how disappointed she was not to have enjoyed any mile high club action with the heartthrobs:

"Not even joking 1direction are on my flight. First class too the little s**ts (ONLY JOKING)"

She then returned to the social networking site once she reached the destination and added: "Alas, no mile high club action with any member of 1D for me. Jolly nice chaps though. LA, nice to be here and not on freezing England."

The hitmaker also then shared an Instagram snapshot (shown below) of herself posing with Miley Cyrus, who she recently described as her "hero".
